Update on OSLC May Worship Services

Decisions on future worship services will be made weekly.

Please continue to check the OSLC Facebook page, the OSLC website or contact the church office.

For those of you that cannot access Facebook live worship services, we continue to offer a DVD to view in your  home or in the church chapel. Please contact the church office to check out a DVD or with any questions.

Please check Pastor Dan’s Thursday, April 30th Facebook video for a very important message regarding COVID-19 and what to expect when we are able to return to worship safely in the sanctuary.

We appreciate your understanding and patience. Pastor Dan, OSLC church council and the staff continue to make decisions  regarding everyone’s safety and well-being based on required COVID-19 mandates. Please continue to pray and extend grace to those making difficult & important decisions on behalf of our congregation as new information is received.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” Hebrews 13:8

While the manner in which we go about proclaiming him may change,  the Word of God never changes, and for that, we say, “Thanks be to God!”

National Day of Prayer 2020

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER MAY 7TH

“Pray God’s Glory Across the Earth”,
based upon the
Bible verse of Habakkuk 2:14, which says:
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea.”
is the theme for the 2020 National Day of Prayer  on Thursday, May 7th

The National Day of Prayer is ours; it belongs to all  Americans. It is an annual observance held on the first  Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for  the nation. Created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the  United States Congress,
it was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all backgrounds.
Please join your fellow Americans on May 7th to pray for our nation.

Farewell to Pastor Ben

We have been so blessed to have had Pastor Ben as our interim pastor. Pastor Ben has been a faithful leader and shepherd of our congregation throughout our church’s transition time in calling our next permanent pastor.
His concern and care for the members of our church and community have been consistently evident by the love he has shown all in both their faith and personal lives.
We will miss him greatly, but we know and trust God will lead Pastor Ben to the next congregation where he will serve.

Unfortunately, plans for a community farewell reception for  Pastor Ben have been cancelled. We invite you to reach out to Pastor Ben by mailing a card to the church, calling or emailing.

Pastor Ben’s last Sunday leading worship at OSLC will be April 26th.

May God’s blessings be with Pastor Ben as he begins the next journey in his ministry.
